Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. Her first role was an supporting character in the teen-oriented films Big Fat Liar (2006) and She's the Man (2006). In the FX series Dirt the actress was Willa McPherson as reporter. She also played the supporting role on the short-lived show The Ex List. In the FX's debut season of American Horror Story, she played Moira O'Hara's young character. Then she played Kaylee in season three. The character was played by Jessie on the AMC series The Walking Dead. Sophie played the role of Sophie in the NBC show This Is Us. She has voiced various characters in the show Family Guy, an animated comedy. Since her appearance in 2019, she has been starring in the role of Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was raised in Darien in Connecticut. She moved to California with her mother when she was of 10. They traveled for a period of one year before they moved to Mill Valley. Breckenridge was 13 years old when she started to develop an interest in photography, acting and singing. Breckenridge re-located to Los Angeles with the help of her mother , who was 15.
